We are a locally owned and operated family business serving all of the flooring needs of Central Vermont and beyond for over 35 years. Stanley started in flooring over 60 years ago and opened the showroom where we operate today in 1979. The business now has 3 generations working. We still have the same down home family values with an emphasis on 100% customer satisfaction, craftsmanship and value.
We are proud members of the Flooring Network. This group of independently owned flooring stores is part of the northeasts most powerful flooring buyers group. It consists of retailers who are dedicated to the flooring industry, committed to excellence and being knowledgeable about the products they sell and have certified installers.

Owners
Stanley started in the flooring business with Martin’s Home Center and decided to move out on his on and worked evenings installing. He slowly opened his showroom as a one man road show. Selling during the day and installing at night. It soon became apparent he needed to make a change and Joanne started working at the store. And as they say the rest is history. They are both still involved with the company, Joanne does the bookwork and Stanley enjoys doing estimates and getting out everyday.
Installer/Craftsman
Chris is Stanley and Joanne’s oldest son and has been in the business for over 30 years. He is certified in every type of floor covering and is an excellent craftsman. His areas of expertise are bamboo, carpet, cork, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl tile, Marmoleum and sheet vinyl. Chris is married to Laurie who works in the store and has 4 children. His oldest son, Caleb is just starting to work in the business.
Installer/ Tile Specialist
Pat is Stanley and Joanne’s youngest son and has been in the business for 30 years. He is an expert in ceramic, glass, natural stone and porcelain tile installation. He does custom showers, backsplashes and floors. Pat has done some of the most amazing custom work in the state. If you have a custom shower, backsplash, or floor you want done in tile Pat is the man for the job. He is married to Karin and has 2 daughters.

Installer/ Carpet Specialist
Dave is Stanley and Joanne’s nephew and has been in the business for 20 years. He worked with concrete prior to working at Country Floors. He is a certified carpet installer with a strong knowledge of luxury vinyl tile and vinyl composition tile. He has 2 sons, Dave and Matthew.
Installer/Craftsman
Matt is a nephew and has been with Country Floors for over 15 years, since he was a sophomore in high school. Needless to say he has learned from the best. Matt is certified in all floor covering and is a craftsman. His areas of expertise include carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl tile, Marmoleum and sheet vinyl. He has 2 little girls.
Manager/Sales Associate
Laurie is Stanley and Joanne’s daughter in law, Chris’ wife and Caleb’s Mother. She has been in the business since she married Chris, however, officially joined Country Floors about 12 years ago. She has a vast product knowledge and is able to help customers make the correct selection of flooring. She also has design and color skills to help make a difficult decision easier. She is friendly, helpful and her goal is to make you feel like a valued member of the Country Floors family.
Caleb Martin
Installer
Caleb is Stanley and Joanne’s grandson and Chris and Laurie’s son. He started working with us in the last couple of years. He graduated from High School in 2015 and attended Northern Vermont University where he obtained a degree in business administration & marketing. Caleb is a very charismatic, hard working young man with a strong knowledge of flooring products and installation techniques.
